General

Is SaleBeacon a free service?
Absolutely! Registration with SaleBeacon is completely free for all users.

  • For Customers: You get to enjoy our service at no cost. Download our app and start receiving real-time sale alerts from local businesses in your area.
  • For Businesses: Creating and scheduling sale alerts to attract local customers is also free. You can engage with your community and boost your sales without any initial investment. Businesses can also create "Pay As You Go" Ads for a broader reach if they so choose using our Credit System.
  • For Advertisers & Special Event Crews: Ads are based on a "Pay As You Go" model. Reach out to your potential audience up to 350 kms using our Ads.

What's the difference between Sale Alerts and Ads?
Although, both Sale Alerts and Ads get pushed out to our mobile app, there is a slight difference between the two. Customers will see all Ads within the range set by the Advertiser or Business no matter what, they cannot filter out ads using their range setting or business category settings. As long as they are within the set range, they will see your ad. Ads are "Pay As You Go", whereas Sale Alerts are completely free. Sale Alerts can be filtered out by the customer by adjusting their settings within the mobile app. There, they can set their desired range for Sale Alerts and toggle their desired business categories.

Do we need to use Ads if we are a Business?
Not at all! The intent behind this application is to make it a free service with an option to "reach out" to potential customers outside of your Sale Alert range of 250 kms using the Ad option. Totally not required. The option for creating "Pay As You Go" Ads is there is you feel it would benefit your Business/Company. If you want to set up an Ad, just buy some credits and set up your Ad for the desired number of days - each credit is good for one day and they are cheap to purchase.

As a Business or Advertiser, are we limited to the number of locations we can add to our account and post Sale Alerts and Ads for those new locations?
Absolutely not! There is no limit on the number of locations your account can have. These are managed within your console when you log into the web application.

For Advertisers & Special Events

Are Ad's expensive?
Nope! In fact, they are really cheap. We use a "Pay As You Go" Credit System. You can replenish your Credits on your Account page inside the web application.

Can we link to our advertisement on our website when we create Ads?
Yes! Currently, for Ads we suggest that you link to your advertisment's web URL when creating ads. All you need is your Ad created on your account, there's a field for your target website page.

Can we set the Ad's duration when we create Ads?
Yes! You can run your Ad every day if you so desire, as long as you have enough credits in your account. When creating Ads you can set the start and stop dates and this calculates the number of credits being used for your Ad.

Can we have mutiple Ads running concurrently?
Yes! You can run one Ad per day for every location in your business.

For Businesses

Can we create free Sale Alerts only and not use Ads at all?
Absolutely! Businesses can simply use Sale Alerts and not use Ads if they so wish, or they can solely us Ads and no Sale Alerts, though Sale Alerts are free so it would be good to use them for sure. Ads are a good way of getting your name out there to a wider audience.

Can we have mutiple Sale Alerts and Ads running concurrently?
You can run one Sale Alerts and one Ad each day for every location in your business.

How do we design Sale Alerts and Ads?
You set up your Sale Alerts and Ads using the forms provided on our website. For your images, if you are confident in your own personal design skills go for it, other options include getting a graphic designer or someone who knows design software to create them. Then simply upload them to your Sale Alert or Ad in the creation process.

For Customers

Does SaleBeacon sell my personal data?
We don't believe in selling personal data, so no worries on that front. The only data we plan to use would be the data that gets created when you click on a Sale Alert or Ad, just the demographic data essentially, nothing personal, that is our promise to you as our Customer.

Can I only see certain categories of businesses or do I have to see a tsumani of content that's not important to me?
Yes :) Simply adjust the categories you are interested in on the Settings page within the mobile app.

Can I adjust the range in distance for the Sale Alerts I would like to filter?
For sure. Use the Settings page within the mobile app to adjust the range setting. It goes from as little as 50 metres up to 250 Kilometres, all up to you.
